Cozumel Jeep and Beach Adventure

Here's a Cozumel excursion with EVERYTHING: sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling and sampling local Mexican cuisine. After meeting your guide, you will be matched up in groups of four and assigned a manual drive vehicle (Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Patriot—four guests per Jeep) and set out following the lead vehicle. As you drive by Cozumel Town, you will get an insight into the local life. Your tour will continue with a drive around the island on a scenic, paved road full of breathtaking views. Your professional guide will give you interesting information during the different stops, when guests can trade off driving if they choose. You will access the Punta Sur State Refuge via a long, sandy road, which welcomes you to this unique ecological reserve. You will visit El Caracol, a small ancient Mayan ruin, once used as a weather alarm. You will also see the Columbia Lagoon, a magnificent and incredible ecosystem that feeds and provides balance to the reef formations. Watch for saltwater crocodiles in their natural environment, and visit an observation tower that overlooks the lagoon. You will then head to the beach to enjoy the year-round crystal-clear waters. Follow the lead vehicle along sand paths to reach Punta Sur Bay, where you will have the option to swim or snorkel. The snorkeling is along the protected and shallow reef, 100 yards off the beach. It is full of colorful tropical fish and incredible sea life. Guests not up to the swim to the reef can walk, swim or just relax on the beach. After your beach stop, it's back to the Jeeps and a 10-minute drive to visit the Navigation Museum inside the Punta Celarain lighthouse. You will start the drive back towards town, but the tour is NOT OVER. You will make a quick stop at an exclusive beach resort to enjoy a delicious late-afternoon Mexican lunch buffet of fajitas, rice, beans, chips, real tortillas and Mexican salsa! Sodas, beer and mixed drinks are available for purchase. Guests wishing to remain longer may do so and will be responsible for their own transportation back to the pier. Taxi from downtown to the meeting point is approximately $3 pp.

Reef Snorkel and Glass Bottom Boat

There's an incredible world below Cozumel. Discover the underwater treasures of Cozumel by snorkeling its reefs or watching through a glass-bottom boat. Either way, the Reef Snorkel and Glass-Bottom Boat tour is a great tour for all! Your friendly professional crew will take care of you every step of the way, no matter if you are an expert snorkeler or trying for the first time. A mask, snorkel, mandatory life vest and fins will be provided to allow you to enjoy your snorkeling with absolute comfort and safety. Your captain will look for the very best spots, based on the day's weather and water conditions. Typically, three stops will be made, often along Cardona, Corona, Dzul-Ha Reef or some of the other reefs that dot the coast. Snorkel stops are approximately 40 minutes each. The number of stops and locations will be up to the captain based on conditions. Not a swimmer? That's not a problem. You still can view the beauty of the underwater world through a glass-bottom panel viewer that lets you see the world beneath the boat. The viewing area has seats around it allowing guests to sit as they take turns looking down through the two windows in the hull. Once the snorkeling is over, refreshments such as ice cold purified water, sodas and local beers will be served during the return to the starting point, while you enjoy the view of the beautiful coastline. Your tour ends back at the beach at Dzul-Ha Reef. Here, you will find the Money Bar Beach Club, which offers a full-service bar and restaurant. Snorkel gear is available for rent if you want more snorkeling, and beach chairs are available on a first-come basis, allowing you to make a full day of fun out of your visit if time permits. Please note: Tour price does not include the $2 per person National Marine Park Access Fee, which must be paid in cash the day of the tour.

Reviews on Tours in Cozumel Post a Review

When you visit Cozumel on your next tour make sure to wake up early and be the first ones of the ship. I say this because there is never enough time in Cozumel. Not because the ships leave early just because Cozumel is the best! there is so much to do. you can take some amazing adventure tours, go to the beach or just shop until you cant shop anymore. I love Cozumel!

so many people make the mistake on not taking a tour in cozumel. although it is not the only way to see the island the tours are great and most of the good beaches and snorkling spots are either only accessible by boat or a taxi rode away. i recomment to at;east go and see the beaches and get in the water. visit the mayan ruins or rent a jeep and explore the island for yourself. dont waste the day
