The Seaport Street Terminal is located in an area referred to as the Garrison Seaport Center and is adjacent to the Florida Aquarium.

Travel Time: 15 miles from the Tampa International Airport; travel time is approximately 20 minutes.


Directions to the Port

Traveling from the North
•    I-75 south to I-4 west -OR- I-275 south to I-4 east.
•    Take Exit 1 - sign will read: Port of Tampa/Ybor City.
•    Take 21st Street south.
•    Turn right on East Adamo Drive/Highway 60.
•    East Adamo Drive/Highway 60 will turn into Channelside Drive/13th Street.
•    Bear to the left and follow signs for the Florida Aquarium/Seaport Terminal.
•    After dropping off your luggage at the terminal, the entrance to the parking garage will be on your left.

Traveling from the South
•    I-75 north.
•    Take Crosstown Expressway west (toward Tampa).
•    Take 22nd Street north exit - sign will read: Port of Tampa/Ybor City.
•    Take 22nd Street north.
•    Turn left on East Adamo Drive/Highway 60.
•    East Adamo Drive/Highway 60 will turn into Channelside Drive/13th Street.
•    Bear to the left and follow signs for the Florida Aquarium/Seaport Terminal
•    After dropping off your luggage at the terminal, the entrance to the parking garage will be on your left.

•    I-4 west.

Tampa Overview

The recorded history of the Port of Tampa dates from 1832,when a military garrison was established. Early in the 20th Century, the main channel was widened and deepened. Today the Port is Florida’s largest deepwater seaport, handing nearly 4,000 vessels a year with over 50 million tons of cargo, and six cruise ships departing during the winter months. By 2006, one million passengers are expected to cruise from this Port to exotic ports in Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond.
Mean temperature is 72.2 degrees F., minimum 62.8 degrees F and maximum of 81.6 degrees F. Annual rainfall is 51.57 inches. On average there are 91 days with thundershowers, occurring mostly in the late afternoonsin June through September. The prevailing direction of winds is from the east.
The Sunshine Skyway Bridge spans lower Tampa Bay and has a vertical clearance of 175 feet and a central span clearance of 875 feet. This is the only bridge ships must clear inorder to reach the docks.
Attractions in the immediate area of the Port are the Florida Aquarium and the St. Pete Times Forum which is the home of he National Hockey League team the Tampa Bay Lightning, and which hosts a variety of types of entertainment. The ever expanding Channelside District with tourist information, restaurants, shops, movie and IMAX theatres is adjacent to Terminal 2 at the Port.
